It seems fantasy novels become the new hot thing for the big screen. After the pitfalls of The Golden Compass, The Spiderwick Chronicles tries to attract more viewers. Since they’re all based off of an acclaimed series of fantasy novels, I can’t find much of a difference between any of these movies. All these kind of movies talk about alternate world contains magnificent creatures. However, I still put my big expectation on this movie. I hope the movie is able to capture the spirit of the book. I hope The Spiderwick Chronicles lives up to its potential better than that confusing Compass.
