Stress di kantor?

Meski file-file tugas menumpuk di meja kerja, Anda tetep bisa relaks, kok! Maureen Opene, seorang konsultan manajemen stress memberikan 3 tips untuk meredakan stress di kantor: 

  1. Angkat satu bahu ke atas hingga menyentuh daun telinga. Tahan posisi ini selama beberapa detik, lakukan secara bergantian
  2. Tarik napas dan tahan selama beberapa detik, lalu lepaskan lewat mulut secara perlahan. Ulangi ini sebanyak 5 kali
  3. Gosokkan kedua telapak tangan anda dengan cepat hingga terasa panasl Lalu tempelkan ke atas mata anda yang terpejam. Kehangatannya akan membuat bola mata anda jadi lebih relaks.

  • Keluhan Ibu Hamil

    Berat janin bertambah berarti perut ibu semakin membesar. Sang ibu akan merasakan emosi yang berbeda-beda. Adanya tambahan perubahan emosi, secara fisik tubuh pun mengalami perubahan. dr.     Sakit punggung:

    Karna meningkatnya beban berat yang dibawa dalam rahim, punggung ibu bisa menjadi sakit. Cara mengatasinya:

    • Pakailah sepatu yang bertumit rendah
    • Hindari mengangkat benda yang berat
    • Gunakanlah kasur yang nyaman
    • Berdiri dan berjalanlah dengan punggung dan bahu yang tegak
    • Jangan terlalu sering membungkuk, mintalah pertolongan orang lain untuk melakukan pekerjaan rumah

  • Habis nonton berita di tipi nii.. ada yang nongol tentang shampoo palsu.. *weleh-weleh..orang kok jahat banget ya, nyari uang dengan menghalalkan segala cara.. ck.. So, musti hati-hati! Efek pake shampoo palsu katanya bisa bikin kanker kulit dan kerontokan.. *nah lo! Jadi musti hati-hati, harus teliti belinya..nggak sembarang beli, en katanya juga shampoo palsu pun ada yang masuk ke salon-salon loo… *aduh.. apa di Indo ini sukanya bikin barang palsu yang bikin orang sakit yak..

  • Sariawan:Sari+Awan?

    Suka sariawan? Baca ini deh..

    • Sariawan..dari mana sih dikau muncul? : Luka yang muncul di bibir bawah, bibir atas, lidah, gusi dan selaput lendir pipi ini timbul karena tergigit, alergi, kebersihan mulut tak terjaga, kelainan pencernaan, bahkan faktor psikologi dan kondisi tubuh yang tidak fit.
    • Kucegah dikau, sariawan! : Pastikan selalu konsumsi vitamin B, C dan zat besi. Hindari makanan atau minuman panas dan pedas. Beberapa orang juga menghindari pasta gigi yang mengandung sodium lauryl sulphate.
    • Kok nggak sembuh-sembuh si? : Sariawan akan sembuh sendiri kok dalam waktu 4-20 hari. Bisa juga pake obat salep dengan kandungan kortikosteroid, atau obat tetes gentian ciolet dan perak nitrat. Berkumur dengan obat kumur yang mengandung antikuman bisa menjaga kebersihan mulut. Nah, jika sariawan nggak sembuh-sembuh juga, konsultasi ma dokter!

  • Merokok: Masih merokok ni?

    Tadi pas hunting makan malam.. ada segelintir orang yang nggak berhenti-henti nyebul asap rokok, di depan kita.. ada sekitar 3 orang yang merokok, tanpa peduli orang disekitarnya.. Q pikir, mereka bakal matiin rokoknya pas masuk mall.. eh..eh..dengan cuweknya jalan bak bos, masuk mall dengan masih nenteng tu rokoknya n nggak lupa nyebulin kiri dan kanan.. *ya ampun..orang-orang ini..

    Q jadi pingin bahas tentang rokok..sadar nggak si?Apa nggak takut ya?.. *sigh

    The impact of chocolate’s luxurious taste on the senses has been compared to the feeling of falling in love; in the 18th century, French doctors prescribed chocolate to women patients for a broken heart. It’s got medicinal values and health benefits. Oh, and it’s a great Valentine’s Day gift, too.

    • Chocolate as medication : Studies have shown that chocolate triggers the release of feel-good endorphins (natural opiates) in the brain. Researchers at Neurosciences Institute in San Diego, California, have even reported that chocolate contains pharmacologically active substances that have the same effect on the brain as marijuana. Chocolate also contais caffeine theobromine (a mild stimulant) and phenylethylamine, which can raise levels of endorphins. Scientists believe the combination of such chemicals may provide the “high” (in addition to, of course, the aroma, taste and texture).
    • Chocolate as health food :Chocolate contains very high levels of catechins - compounds that act as antioxidants. Just 25g of dark chocolate contains as much as 41mgof flanavols - the powerful antioxidants that guard against plaque build-up in artery walls. That’s more antioxidants than a cup of green tea, an apple or a glass of red wine. Chocolate is a significant source of essential nutrients such as calcium, magnesium, zinc, iron, niacin and riboflavin.
    • Limit your intake : Chocolate can be included in a healthy diet, as long as you are active and are having plenty of fruit and vegetables. To obtain the benefits without adding too much fat to your diet, limit yourself to 25g a day - and savour the flavour. The dark variety has the highest cocoa content. Look for at least 70% cocoa solids.

  • Asthma gene found!

    In a study of more than 2000 children, scientists from the University of Michigan and their European colleagues have found genetic markers strongly associated with the risk of childhood-onset asthma. Children with these markers had higher blood levels of a gene called ORMDL3, which is also true of children with asthma. The study suggests the disease associated form of the gene increases asthma risk by 60% to 70%. Although childhood asthma treatments now focus on allergic responses - since most children with asthma also have many allergies - researchers propose their discovery could lead to new asthma therapies, such as targeting the gene with drugs.

  • Beauty and Brains in an hourglass

    Scarlett Johansson’s figure is an asset in more ways than one. US research has found women with hourglass figures are more likely to be intelligent and to have brighter children, too. After examining data from 16,000 women and their children, researchers from the universities of Pittsburgh and California concluded that women with shapely hips and thighs scored higher on intelligence tests than women with more linear figures. Long-chain polyunsaturated faty acids such as DHA, necessary for brain growth, are stored around the hips and thighs; the researchers believe carrying a little extra in these areas may be a good thing. “Women with small tummies and big hips and thighs have more what it takes to build brains, and thus tend to be smarter and have smarter children,” says study co-author Professor Steven Gaulin from the University of California, Santa Barbara.”This hip and thigh fat is primarily metabolised in the third trimester of pregnancy and lactation, when babies’ brains are being built.”

  • Got Gas?

    The average person passes gas between 14 and 23 times a day. When you’re struck with a painful bloating and gas, try taking an antacid or Pepto-Bismol to coat your stomach, or probiotics to ease your symptoms. Over-the-counter products that reduce gas may contain simethicone or activated charcoal, but they’re not really that effective, say experts. Generally you juts have tp wait it out (or simply let it out!). “There are no easy ways of getting around gas, only easy ways of avoiding it in the future.” says Dr Mehmet Oz. If your suspect that eating veggies or beans is the problem, try Beano before your next meal.

    How to avoid problem:

    • Chew thoroughly and eat leisurely
    • Avoid overeating
    • Don’t lie down after eating; get up and take a 20-minute walk
    • Avoid gaseous foods, including soda, gum, mints, candy, Brussels sprouts and cabbage, and don’t drink water with meals.
